Born from the same fertile Liverpool music scene that produced Echo and the Bunnymen, and Teardrop Explodes.
Pink Industry were formed in 1982 by legendary performer and muse Jayne Casey (ex-Big In Japan, Pink Military)
and rhythm master Ambrose Reynolds (ex-Frankie Goes to Hollywood). They were later joined by Guitarist Tadzio
Jodlowski.
Pink Industry's sound is instantly recognizable Its a low tech industrial mix that was always considered left field, it
was never about 80s aspiration but more a celebration of the breathtaking beauty of human imperfection.
Wth its dark throbbing machines and deep bass, its a minimal ,hard edged industrial sound with a Primeval soul.
Unlike other electronic music from that period Pink industry never recreate the sound of rain on an empty street
they make you feel the rain on your naked flesh.
Torch Song for the 23rd Century, sonically and emotionally Pink Industry's lays it bare, they conceal nothing.
As a recent press review said 'Pink Industry are able to channel melancholy and drama into three minute songs
shaping them once like a fist in your face and then as a tear in the snow"
Pink industry ceased recording in 1985 but their influence and their vibration lives on : )
This compilation of their 3 albuns, keep the band alive!
